scuba classes

Learn about scuba diving and be prepared to explore the water on your next getaway. You will learn diving principles and terminology, how to use scuba gear, managing buoyancy, and how to handle common problems

Includes: air, rental gear, PADI book and resources,  breakfast and lunch on classroom day. Classroom, pool, and open water instruction.  Certification card.

PREREQUISITES: ages 10 and up, able to swim, medically fit for diving

Saturday 8:00 - 4:00 at the shop. Classroom in the morning. Pool time 12:30 - 4:00. Breakfast and lunch served.

Sunday 8:00 -12:00 or 12:30 - 4:00 (TBA) at the shop in the pool. 

Dive deeper into the underwater world with your advanced open water certification. Your advanced certification provides the opportunity for diving specialties like night diving, wreck diving, search and recovery, and more.

PADI's Rescue Diver program will build your confidence as a diver, give you valuable experience in emergency management and prevention and heighten your awareness of the surrounding environment. 

PREREQUISITES: PADI Advanced Open Water Certification. Current CPR card from any qualified organization or add Emergency First Responder (EFR) class to your Rescue Class to take care of both at once.

Enriched air, also known as nitrox, contains less nitrogen than regular air. Breathing less nitrogen means you can enjoy longer dives and shorter surface intervals.

Be prepared in an emergency! Learn CPR, First Aid, respond to a variety of illness and injuries, help someone who is choking, handle a possible spinal injury, and apply bandages and splints.

The PADI Wreck Diver Specialty course offers the opportunity for exciting adventures and discoveries while safely observing responsible wreck diving practices. After this course you will know how to explore inside wrecks, dive near artifacts, and learn special finning techniques. You will learn to survey a wreck, use lines and reels, and avoid common problems.

PREREQUISITES: 15 years or older, PADI Adventure Diver

Experience the allure of the ocean at night. You will learn tips for navigating underwater at night, making ascents and descents in the dark, and using your dive light for communication. 

PREREQUISITES: PADI (junior) Open Water Diver or qualifying entry-level certification, 12 years or older

Feel confident diving in a current. You will learn how to use surface signaling equipment, stay close to your buddy, make entries and descents in a current. Practice buoyancy control, navigation, and buddy communication while drifting.

Take the first step in your dive career. Become a leader and mentor for other divers. Divemasters supervise scuba diving activities, lead PADI Scuba Divers on guided dive tours, assist scuba classes and can work at dive centers, on live-aboard yachts, and dive resorts.

PREREQUISITES: Rescue Diver, 40 logged dives, CPR and First Aid certification within 24 months, medical clearance to dive.
