1. Overview

At Bayou Divers, we want customers to be satisfied with their purchase. This Return & Refund Policy explains the conditions under which returns, refunds, and exchanges may be accepted.

By placing an order through bayoudivers.net, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

  

2. Return Eligibility

Returns may be accepted only if the following conditions are met:

  • The return request is submitted within 30 days of delivery.
  • The item is unused, unwashed, and in its original condition.
  • The item includes all original packaging, tags, accessories, and documentation.
  • Proof of purchase (order number or receipt) is provided.

Items that do not meet these requirements may be rejected or subject to a partial refund.

  

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Final sale or clearance items
  • Digital products or downloadable content
  • Gift cards
  • Personalized or custom-made products
  • Items marked “non-returnable”  at checkout
  • Products damaged due to misuse, improper handling, or normal wear
  • Moldable mouthpieces
  • Custom lenses
  • Used items

  

4. Return Authorization Required

All returns must be authorized before being shipped back.

Please include:

  • Order number
  • Item(s) being returned
  • Reason for return
  • Photos if the item is damaged or defective

Unauthorized returns may be refused and returned to the sender at the customer’s expense.

  

5. Return Shipping Costs

Unless the item is defective or incorrect:

· If your order qualified for Free Shipping, that shipping cost will be deducted from your final refund.

· Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

If a return shipment is lost or damaged in transit, we are not responsible for issuing a refund.

  

6 Restocking Fees

We aim to process returns fairly and do not automatically charge restocking fees. However, in certain situations a restocking fee of up to 15% of the item price may be applied to help cover inspection, repackaging, and handling costs.

A restocking fee may apply when a returned item requires additional processing before it can be resold. Examples include:

  • The original packaging is damaged, missing, or not suitable for resale
  • Tags, labels, manuals, or included accessories are missing
  • The item has been opened and requires inspection or repackaging
  • The product shows minor signs of handling or wear
  • Protective seals or packaging were removed or broken
  • The return requires extra cleaning, testing, or repackaging

We will not charge a restocking fee if the return is due to:

  • A defective product
  • A damaged item received during shipping
  • An incorrect item sent by our company

If a restocking fee applies, it will be deducted from the refund amount before the refund is issued.

  

Condition of Returned Items

Returned items are inspected upon arrival. To receive a full refund, items should be returned:

  • In unused condition
  • With original packaging
  • With all accessories, parts, and documentation

If an item is returned with missing packaging, missing components, or signs of use, we may:

  • Apply a small restocking fee
  • Issue a partial refund
  • Decline the return if the item cannot reasonably be resold

Our goal is to process returns fairly while keeping product prices reasonable for all customers.

  

8. Fraud Prevention and Abuse Protection

To prevent fraud and excessive return abuse, Bayou Divers reserves the right to:

  • Limit or deny returns from customers with excessive return history
  • Refuse returns that show signs of use or tampering
  • Cancel suspicious or fraudulent orders
  • Require additional verification before approving refunds
  • Charge additional shipping or handling costs when necessary

We also reserve the right to ban accounts that abuse the return system.

  

9. Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive an item that is:

  • Damaged during shipping
  • Defective
  • Incorrect

You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

We may request photos of:

  • The product
  • Packaging
  • Shipping label

Failure to report damage within this time period may result in denial of the claim.

  

10. Refund Processing

Once a return is received and inspected:

  • Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method
  • Refunds may take 5–10 business days to appear depending on your payment provider

Shipping costs and restocking fees may be deducted from the refund amount.

  

11. Exchanges

We may offer exchanges depending on product availability.

If an exchange is approved:

  • Customers may be responsible for shipping costs
  • The replacement item will ship after the original item is received and inspected

  

12. Refused or Undeliverable Packages

If a package is:

  • Refused by the customer
  • Returned due to incorrect address
  • Unclaimed from the carrier

We may deduct:

  • Return shipping costs
  • Original shipping costs
  • Restocking fees

before issuing any refund.

  

13. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Customers agree to contact Bayou Divers before filing a chargeback.

If a chargeback is filed without first contacting us:

  • The customer may become ineligible for future purchases
  • Additional evidence may be submitted to the payment processor to dispute the claim.

1. Overview

This policy applies to all pool party reservations, scuba classes, and other scheduled activities booked through Bayou Divers.

When a reservation is made, a specific time slot and staff resources are reserved exclusively for your event or class. Because of this, cancellations and refunds are limited.

By completing a booking, you agree to the terms of this policy.

  

2. Deposits and Payments

Some reservations may require either:

  • Full payment at booking, or
  • A non-refundable deposit to hold the reservation.

Deposits are applied toward the total cost of the event or class but are not refundable if the booking is canceled.

  

3. Cancellation Policy

More than 14 Days Before the Event

If you cancel more than 14 days before your scheduled event or class, you may choose one of the following options:

  • Receive a refund minus a processing fee of up to 10%, or
  • Reschedule your booking for a future date (subject to      availability)

  

7–14 Days Before the Event

If cancellation occurs 7–14 days before the scheduled date:

  • 50% of the booking fee may be refunded, or
  • The booking may be rescheduled once at no additional charge

  

Less Than 7 Days Before the Event

Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event are not eligible for refunds.

However, you may request one reschedule, subject to availability.

  

Same-Day or No-Show

If you:

  • Cancel on the same day
  • Do not show up
  • Arrive excessively late and cannot participate

The booking will be considered forfeited, and no refund or credit will be issued.

  

4. Rescheduling Policy

We understand that plans can change, so we allow limited rescheduling options.

Customers may request to reschedule their pool party or scuba class one time if:

  • The request is made at least 24 hours before the scheduled time
  • A new date is available within 90 days

Additional rescheduling requests may require a rescheduling fee.

  

5. Late Arrivals

If participants arrive late:

  • Activities may still end at the originally scheduled time
  • Lost time cannot be extended or refunded

This ensures fairness for other scheduled customers.

  

6. Weather and Safety Conditions

If an event or class must be canceled due to:

  • Unsafe weather
  • Water safety conditions
  • Instructor availability due to emergency

Bayou Divers will offer either:

  • A full reschedule, or
  • A full refund

  

7. Minimum Participant Requirements (Scuba Classes)

Some scuba classes may require a minimum number of participants.

If a class must be canceled due to insufficient enrollment, customers will receive either:

  • A full refund, or
  • The option to reschedule to the next available class

  

8. Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for:

  • Arriving on time
  • Ensuring all participants meet any age, health, or certification requirements
  • Providing accurate contact information during booking

Failure to meet participation requirements does not qualify for a refund.

  

9. Abuse of Cancellation Policy

To protect availability for other guests, Bayou Divers reserves the right to limit or deny future bookings for customers who repeatedly cancel, reschedule excessively, or abuse the reservation system.
