vortex springs - ponce de leon, fl

We will begin our check-out dives at VORTEX SPRINGS on Saturday. Students join a certification dive trip with Bayou Divers PADI Instructors to complete your PADI Certification. Includes 2 dives per day.   The certification trip fee is $495.  This includes lodging (Saturday), Lunch and dinner (Saturday),  breakfast (Sunday), snacks, drinks, dive entry fees, certification e-card, instructor fees, and rental gear.  Add $55 to the above cost for Friday night stay and breakfast (Saturday).  You will provide your own transportation.

Saturday: Arrive at Vortex Springs in Ponce de Leon, FL by 9:00 am. Sign in with a Bayou Divers staff member at the Bayou Divers trailer. This is where your gear will be. We will be parked as close to the water as possible. Once everyone has their gear, the group will be lead to a platform where your instructors will orient you on the next steps. There will be 2 dives. Classroom size and how quickly students retain skills will depend on when you will be dismissed. Bayou Divers will provide snacks and drinks for the day. You are welcome to bring your own refreshments as well.  You will take your gear with you on Saturday evening. 

Sunday: There are several springs near this area that are great for diving. Saturday we will announce where we are diving on Sunday, based on weather conditions, water levels, and majority preference. Arrive at announced location by 9:00 am with gear. Sign in at Bayou Divers trailer. Your instructors will guide you on 2 dives. After your 2 skills dives you will have the opportunity to explore the springs with your instructors and enjoy and refine your new underwater skills under the direct supervision  of the instructors. Once diving is complete, we will finish paperwork and you will leave the park a Certified PADI diver!

Bayou Divers will provide masks and fins for certification students, however, for your comfort we recommend purchasing your own. We have a large selection at our shop and can help you choose the mask and fins that will best suit your needs. As we say - The better the fit, the better the dive!

Lodging is included in your certification trip fee for Saturday night.  If you wish to stay Friday night, it will be an extra $55.
